Champagne Esterlin Brut Éclat NV

Tasting notes: Aged for 5 years, the Brut Éclat is made without malolactic fermentation for a fresh, clean and bright champagne of classic brioche and biscuit complexity. The tasting notes offer a balance of brioche and roasted hazelnut toasty richness alongside aromas of fruit compôte, dried fruits, citrus, white flower and minerals for an aromatic and long-lasting taste.

Blend: 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir.
Alcohol level: 12%

Provenance: Maison Esterlin stands on the Avenue de Champagne, Epernay and was founded in 1948 by three pioneering families: Fransoret, Dehu and Cadestin. Today, Esterlin has over 200 family growers spread over 116 hectares of vineyards across the prime subregions of the appellation. Esterlin prides themselves on the high proportion of reserve wine included in each cuvée – 70% in the case of Brut Éclat.

Bourgogne Chardonnay, Domaine des Tourtourelles 2020

Tasting notes: Fine, taut and mineral drive with a vein of lemon sherbet. Very youthful taste of stone fruit that is both refined and refreshing. An exceptional white Burgundy.

Blend: 100% Chardonnay
Alcohol level: 13%

Provenance: Domain des Tourtourelles is based in Viré, one of the top rated villages with Cru status. Originally supplying grapes to the Gaillard Family, in 2015 Valentin began to invest in bottling their own wine from the 42 hectares of exceptional vineyards which are based on a seam of limestone that runs from Viré to Clessé. Valentin has a modern vision for his wines and the Bourgogne Chardonnay is an excellent example of fresh character and youthfulness.

Saumur Blanc, Lena, Domaine Filliatreau 2021

Tasting notes: The Saumur is a dry wine with aromas of lime, white flower, and citrus fruits, finished with a touch of honey for excellent liveliness and aging potential.

Blend: 100% Chenin Blanc
Alcohol level: 13%

Provenance: Domaine Filliatreau is a certified-organic estate grown biodynamically by Frederick Fillatreau across 6 hectares located near the city of Saumur. The vineyard of La Grande Vignolle is in the Saumur-Champigny appellation and rests atop a tufa-stone outcrop running along the Loire River. The soil is made of limestone and clay, highly calcareous, which lends the Cabernet Franc grapes their juicy flavours and good acidity.

Chateau Les Ormes Sorbet, Médoc Bordeaux 2016

Tasting notes: This classic medium-bodied Claret depicts delicious lead pencil cassis, black and red fruit notes with a faint hint of violet and strawberries.

Blend: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
Alcohol level: 13-13.5%

Provenance: The Chateau Les Ormes was founded in 1794 but today is run by 9th generation family member Helene Boivert and her two sons, Vincent and Francois. The estate spans across of 23 hectares of vineyards and the terrain is a mixture of gravel, limestone and clay soils. The average age of the vines are around 30 years old and placed in the Northern part of the Médoc. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in 30% new French barrels for an average of 18 months before bottling.

Carmenere Piu, Inama, Veneto 2020

Tasting notes: This delectable red wine has a vivid ruby core with narrow purple rim. An elegant balance of fruit and spice on the nose with myrtille, cassis, plum and leather with hints of black pepper.

Blend: 85% Carmenere and 15% Merlot.
Alcohol level: 13.5%

Provenance: Founded by Stefano Inama in 1948 in the heart of the Soave Classic, Veneto, a hilly area of 54 hectares in northeast Italy. The soils were generated by an ancient phenomenon of bradyseism, which led to the emergence of a rocky ridge of karstic limestone, covered by red soils, rich in iron oxide of a clay and silt nature. The wonderful label is designed by artist Michaele Charlo based in San Bonifacio.
